The University of Arizona

COVID-19 Statement

March 30, 2020

The Pride of Arizona is fully committed to our members’ health and safety. In these challenging times, we are strictly adhering to University of Arizona policies regarding the COVID-19 outbreak including social distancing and flattening the curve. As a result, we have suspended in-person auditions, camps, and recruiting visits through May 2020. The Pride is hopeful to resume normal operations very soon but will only do so when it is approved and safe for our students, staff, and fans.

Despite these challenges, we are more excited than ever for the 2020 edition of the Pride of Arizona and we are moving forward with energy and hope. Our plan for the immediate future is to hold online auditions for our Pomline, Twirlers, Color Guard, and student leadership (Drum Majors, Section Leaders, and Auxiliary Captains). In addition, our Multimedia team is working diligently to organize and implement virtual opportunities to share the latest information on the 2020 Pride of Arizona, our show, and most importantly, our members. Check our website regularly for the latest updates.

The Pride is laser focused on our human connection and the transformative power of music. We need both now more than ever, and we will do all we can to keep those connections strong through the talent and hard work of our incredible staff.

We wish you all a healthy spring. We will get through this, and we will emerge stronger and better than ever. BEAR DOWN!

Sincerely,
